Combining KNOW-HOW with KNOW-WHY... Engineering Physics
Engineering Physics teaches the application of modern physics concepts towards the engineering of new technological advances. Our faculty and students are involved in pushing the envelope of new technologies. Our design tools are the concepts of electrons, photons and neutrons – the tiny quantum mechanical objects of modern physics. These are the tools being used to develop today’s and tomorrow’s advanced technologies in fields as diverse as:
- Photonics
- Micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS)
- Mechatronics
- Nano-system engineering
- Nuclear engineering
- Sustainable energy systems
- Optoelectronics
- Semiconductor devices
- Biophotonics
